I watched the game between the De La Salle University Green Archers and Far Eastern University Tamaraws for the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) yesterday to support our team and to cheer me up. They lost the other day to SWU Cobras but I wasn’t able to watch it yet. It was a really good game yesterday, exhibiting team play, good ball handling and individual qualities as well. At first, they trailed behind in the first quarter but the coach called for time-out that set the archers into motion. I enjoyed the game very much and saw how the team continues to improve. They were able to keep the lead until the end of the game and were all attentive to fight for ball possession. Everyone was exerting effort to win the game. Matt Salem and Robert Bolick both played very well, delivering their 3-point shots and rebounding, Jeron Teng charged without fear even when he’s well-guarded. The points are distributed among the players who were given the chance to play on court. The coaching staff put a lot of effort and support in training the team. Way to go La Salle!
Next game will be tomorrow, December 12, 2013, 4 p.m. at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
The PCCL is a tournament joined by different colleges in the Philippines. The top seeds from the NCAA and UAAP like the top four that reached the finals advances to the upper rounds while other seeds/schools battle it off to emerge to the top.
The other day, the DLSU Lady Spikers beat the UST Tigress in 3-0 sets. Congratulations!
