“Don’t focus on your weaknesses; focus on your strengths. When your work responsibilities fit your God-given abilities, you’re in the jet stream of accomplishment. You’re far more creative, more energetic, more relaxed, and more willing to help others who need a hand.” – Zig Ziglar
“Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of intelligent effort. There must be a will to produce a superior thing.” -John Ruskin
“Discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them, and the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them.” -Zig Ziglar
There will be times that we get steered away from the things we have to do. We postpone or push aside the work and easily get discouraged to continue. Every single day may become redundant and we would hope to do things other than what we have been doing. But just like what Zig Ziglar pointed out, when we focus instead on our strengths rather than our weaknesses, we’ll be able to dig deeper and find that we have a well of patience, of capabilities and talents that are usually overpowered by dragging ourselves down and constantly reminding ourselves how we could’ve done better.
I rarely get the chance to read books now, and there’s a very long list of books I want to read and more titles get added once in a while. Also, because of the jobs I took, it was difficult to allot the time to meet the quota. I have to hope that once I accomplished the tasks, I’ll have more opportunity to do other things.
