“The recognition of necessity is a poor hand to drive human beings to try to change the world. it is not a spur to greatness, it is an excuse for mediocrity. It is not a push to take risks, it is an invitation to play safe.” – Conrado de Quiros (Tongues on Fire)
At some point we’d realize that it’s all the same, the details might be different but the situations resemble one another. It is not until later that we’d realize we have let go, partially giving in to the social norm and demands of the society but deep inside we still hold on to what we believe in. We break the ice, establish the rapport which we tried to fight so hard. Dive into the system and blend in. But it doesn’t mean caving in to what’s necessary, and don’t have to accept everything as it is or because we think there’s nothing can be done. We made some noise and change happened, even if they are just little changes, at least we did something.
