Bii)
Jerry C

I’ve drawn inspiration from this song especially when times have become tiring and becoming kind of hopeless. The lyrics and melody are written really nicely by Penny Dai and the song was recorded and performed by Bii and Andrew Tan ((陳勢安). I’ve watched their performances online and the music video too. Both are talented musicians. The title of the track suits both their name.

The first verse is roughly translated like this:

I thought I’m already tired/that I couldn’t move my wings without a goal
I try to fly and surpass through that window/the temperature just made my body feel bad again
I go towards every ray of light
My smile is not pretentious/I follow because I thirst for
To fall is a form of growth, to cry is a form of release
I exist and it’s not just an imagination/I don’t care/I’m stubborn

The succeeding verses tells us about the sacrifices we do for love and for our dreams. That it’s okay to get hurt once in a while. And that we become stronger for the sake of protecting our beliefs. At times we may feel that our paths have no direction. But it’s absolutely necessary that we go through the circumstance. It’s imperative that we take action.

This song was used as an opening song in the series 勇士們  (Soldier) by TTV.
